Michael Faraday's wife used to be an FBI agent, who was killed in a move against extreme right terrorists. When the Lang family moves in next door, Michael starts getting rid of his dreary thoughts, especially because his son Grant is able to befriend the neighbour kids. But gradually, certain little things about his news neighbours start to vex Michael: they obviously hide some secrets in their house that they don't want him to know about. Having studied terrorists of the like that his wife was killed about, Michael starts suspecting that the Langs actually may be dangerous terrorists who are planning anti-governmental actions in Washington DC.
